Module 06 · Backoffice

Rewards, challenges and campaigns — no developer, live the same day

In the full loyalty CMS you edit the rewards, challenges, offers and content yourself, schedule the campaigns, and use permissions to decide who can change what. You don't need to call a developer to have a different reward waiting on the tiers next week.

Who it is for

For teams where marketing isn't a separate department: the bar owner, the venue manager or the person running the canteen sets up this week's promotion themselves. With several venues you also need an answer for keeping on-site colleagues to their own venue. In a canteen that's usually one operator; at a festival it's several venues with several people responsible — the system has to handle both.

How it works

  1. You set what the guest gets

Rewards, challenges and offers are edited in the backoffice: what it takes, what it's worth, how long it lives. The feed content the guest sees in the app is written in the same place. For challenges you build the step sequence too, and for offers you decide who they speak to.

  2. You schedule when it starts

With campaign management and scheduling you don't have to switch on the weekend promotion in the evening: you set the start and end in advance, and the loyalty tools run automatically.

  3. You decide who can touch it

Permission management determines who can edit, who can only view, and which venue they can reach. Several venues run under one account, but everyone handles their own.

What you get out of it

  • No developer round trip

The content of a reward, a challenge or an offer is an editorial job, not a development ticket. What used to sit in a queue at an external team, you now enter yourself.

  • The seasonal promotion starts when it should

With scheduling you put together the quiet Monday-afternoon slot or the festival weekend in advance, instead of scrambling half an hour before opening.

  • Controlled access

Thanks to permission levels you can safely give the venue manager editing rights: they can't reach the other venue's settings or the financial reports.

  • One screen for the whole programme

Rewards, campaigns, segments and reports are all in the same place, so there's no coordinating across four systems about what goes out next week. The backoffice is the same screen where you read the report.

Frequently asked questions

  • How hard is it for the staff to learn?

In the second week of the rollout we fill the backoffice together — branding, menu, rewards and credit tiers — and the third week starts with staff training and an opening campaign. You're not left with an empty screen, but with your own content. Before that, the first week is the assessment: we review your current process, your till and your guest base, and pick the first two modules.

  • Do I need a developer for this?

No. Rewards, challenges, offers and content are all edited from the backoffice, without a developer. That's exactly why the feature exists: so you never have to wait on an external round trip for a promotion.

  • We have several venues — will everyone see everything?

Only if you want that. Several venues run under one account, and permission levels let you hand out access venue by venue. We put the exact roles together during the assessment.

  • What can I connect this to?

The reward and the challenge you edit in the CMS are the same ones the guest sees in the loyalty programme, and the campaign goes out to the segment you filtered in analytics. That's why it's worth looking at this together with segmentation and the communication module. Modules can be introduced separately, but the loyalty CMS gives you the most when there's data and a channel next to it.

Take control of your own programme

In the free assessment we go through the rewards and campaigns you'd want to run, and who at your venue would be editing them.
