Module 04 · Communication

Reach your guests without paying for ads

Push and email campaigns are your own channel: anyone who has signed up in your app is reachable whenever you want — you don't have to buy the audience back from an ad platform. Push, email and the venue's in-app feed: three channels, one editor. You aim the message at a segment, schedule it in advance, and you don't have to guess afterwards what came of it.

Who it is for

For bars, cafés, canteens and festivals that already have a base of regulars, but only come to mind when someone happens to walk past. It matters even more with several venues: each one can have its own feed in the app while you run every campaign from a single screen. For event organizers the same channel reaches ticket buyers too, since buying a ticket already puts the guest in the loyalty program.

How it works

  1. You pick who it's for

You build a segment by spend, venue, loyalty tier or inactivity — everyone who hasn't been in for months, say, or only the guests of one venue. The filtering works on behavior rather than demographics: what counts is what someone actually did at your place. The finished group turns into a campaign with one click.

  2. You write it and lay it out

A push needs a short line; an email gets its shape from the built-in template editor — logo, image, button, no developer involved. The same content can go into the venue's feed, where the guest reads it when they open the app. The funnel marketing tools are there so you can think in a sequence instead of a single send.

  3. You schedule it, then look back

You time the send for the right day and hour in advance, and leave the recurring loyalty tools on automatic scheduling. Afterwards you're not hunting for a separate report: campaigns, guest activity and transactions sit in the same database, so the send and the revenue can be put side by side.

What you get out of it

  • Your own audience, no media spend

Whoever signed up stays reachable: you don't pay a platform again for the next message. The channel is yours and so is the list — how many people see what you write isn't up to an algorithm.

  • Messages for people they make sense for

An inactive guest deserves different wording than a weekly regular. Segments are built by spend, venue, tier and inactivity, so not everyone gets the same thing, and you don't have to reach everyone with the same discount.

  • A template editor instead of an agency

Emails are laid out in the backoffice, with your own templates that you can pull out again later. Launching a campaign isn't a project — it's an afternoon's work.

  • Every venue gets its own voice

The feed runs separately per venue: events, news and opening hours show up where they are relevant. Campaigns, on the other hand, are run from one account, so a second venue doesn't mean a second system.

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need a marketer on the team for this?

No. Segments are built from filters, emails are laid out in the built-in template editor, and the AI content generation in the Backoffice module writes campaign copy, push messages and feed posts from your own data. We put the first campaigns together with you in the third stage of the rollout, alongside the launch campaign.

  • Won't guests find the notifications too much?

That's yours to control. Because you send to a segment, a guest only gets a message if they actually fall into that group, and scheduling keeps the frequency in check. Anything that isn't urgent can go into the feed instead: the guest reads it when they open the app anyway, so not everything has to become a push notification.

  • Does it work with several venues?

Yes. The venue itself is a segmentation criterion, so you can send to the guests of one venue only, and each venue has its own feed in the app. Multiple venues run under one account with permission levels — you don't have to hand a venue manager access to the whole system just so they can post about their own place.

  • What about data protection?

Guests enter the system by signing up, and data handling, consent and the deletion flow are documented end to end, in line with GDPR. You're sending to your own list, not to a bought database — a difference that shows both legally and in how willingly people open what you send.
